![]() ![]() For each of the 77 total videos, about 4 seconds each, I must mask separately since the white background differed in brightness from one to the next depending on the varying amounts of sunlight entering the room as the day wore on. To all: To make the situation clearer, note first that the video was shot in 16 x 9 ratio, but it will be rendered as 4 x 3, so cropping and moving the 4 x 3 viewable area leftward can handle the problem in some cases since my subject did not always sit in the same place. The effect is actually limited only to the Pan/Crop window. As it should be, the rest of the Pan/Crop window goes dark, allegedly showing that it will be transparent in the final output.īut the problem is, this has no effect on what appears in the bottom track of the video preview window, and none of the top screen of the preview window either. Then I went to Pan/Crop Video for the topmost video, checked Mask, selected the leftmost (key) frame, and then used the pen tool to outline the rightmost portion of the white background, which I then drug to the right, thus covering up the unsightly segment of wall on the righthand edge - at least in the top track in the Pan/Crop window. What I have done so far is load two copies of the same video clip to Vegas (on different tracks, one on top of the other). As a result, the right edge of the picture shows the unsightly wall behind him, and I would like to mask that part out.
